UNIVERSE 4

The universe we are following in this story is Universe 4.

Attention! The historical information presented below is fictional. While some references to the real world may appear, this universe is largely fictional. This includes historical events, countries, cities, and many other elements.

YEAR 200: The beginning of Yokhan Island.

On an island near Japan, known by its inhabitants as Yokhan Island, great cities were founded by warriors who discovered and mastered Aura, the life energy that exists within every living being.

These warriors learned to wield Aura through martial arts training. Because they played a vital role in establishing the island's seven cities, each city was named after one of them: Hifei, Grom, Dish, Targfor, Oju, Leimor, and Ashur. At first, the cities were small, much like ancient villages, where everyone worked together and prospered under the guidance of these legendary warriors.

YEAR 230: The Formation of Great Cities.

These warriors chose to preserve their knowledge of Aura by recording their teachings in books and scrolls, ensuring that their wisdom would be passed down from one generation to the next.
As those capable of wielding Aura emerged, so did scientists who continued to advance technology. Some even believed that Aura could be harnessed for technological purposes. However, given the limitations of the era, achieving meaningful results proved to be extremely difficult.
Although the existence of Aura became known among the island's inhabitants, it remained a rarity. Most people lived ordinary lives, and even soldiers rarely trained to wield this power. Over time, however, more individuals began learning to use Aura, particularly to strengthen their nations' military forces.
As expected, Aura was not used solely by those with noble intentions. Those driven by greed and ambition also learned to wield it for their own benefit—whether to gain greater power or to seize control of the cities.

YEAR 300: The Rise of the Seven Legendaries.

After a war was ignited by a leader named Fein, who sought to rule Yokhan Island, develop advanced technologies, and eventually invade other nations, seven warriors rose to oppose him. Through their exceptional mastery of martial arts and Aura, they defeated Fein and prevented his rise to power.
Following this great victory, the seven warriors vowed to stand together as protectors of the island, dedicating themselves to fighting evil and safeguarding its cities. From that day forward, they became known as The Seven Legendaries.
The Seven Legendaries were honored throughout every city as heroes. They also took part in political affairs, helping each city grow and prosper while encouraging alliances and cooperation among them.

YEAR 340: The Orbs of Power.

The Seven Legendaries created the Orbs of Power. Each member forged a sphere containing immense energy that could be used for countless purposes, from supplying power to the cities and fueling technology to granting strength to Aura users. However, as long as The Seven Legendaries remained alive, only they were permitted to access these Orbs.

YEAR 350: New Successors.

As The Seven Legendaries grew old, they decided it was time to find their successors. Each member searched for someone worthy of taking their place among The Seven Legendaries. Whenever a new generation was chosen, a rite of succession was held, followed by an announcement to all of Yokhan Island, introducing the new Seven Legendaries.

YEAR 380: The Fall of the Seven.

The second generation of The Seven Legendaries suffered defeat in their greatest battle against the army of Kanlong, a formidable warrior who had mastered the power of Aura. He had also stolen one of the Orbs of Power from the city of Dish, making himself even more powerful. The conflict devastated the island, as the fierce battle between The Seven Legendaries and Kanlong's army left the cities in ruins. This tragic event became known as "The Fall of the Seven." Fearing what might happen if Kanlong claimed the remaining Orbs, The Seven Legendaries scattered the Orbs of Power across Yokhan Island. However, because Kanlong already possessed one of the Orbs, he was ultimately able to kill every member of the second generation. The original Seven had already passed away, leaving no one capable of stopping him—not even the island's armies. Kanlong ruled Yokhan Island for the next twenty years, conquering its cities and bending them to his will, using his power to fulfill his own ambitions.

YEAR 400: The Kanlong Empire.

Kanlong intended to completely destroy Hifei as the first step in building his empire. He ordered his army to burn the city's homes and kill as many inhabitants as possible. Unknowingly, however, this very act would become the beginning of his downfall.
The massacre was merciless. Kanlong's soldiers slaughtered thousands of Hifei's residents, with more than 4,000 people killed by the army and even by Kanlong himself. Although a number of people managed to survive, one child in particular would change the island's fate.
Fleeing into the forest, the child wandered aimlessly for many days until he fell from a cliff. By sheer luck, the cliff concealed a secret passage that led him to the hidden headquarters of The Seven Legendaries, a sanctuary they had built far from the cities.
The boy's name was Kay. There, he found food and shelter, though he also had to learn how to hunt and survive, as Hifei had been reduced to ruins by Kanlong. While struggling to stay alive, Kay repeatedly tried to gain access to the private chambers of The Seven Legendaries. However, thanks to the advanced technology they had created, only those capable of wielding Aura and who had signed The Seven Legendaries' Rite of Succession Scroll could enter those rooms. As a result, Kay was limited to the main halls, the kitchen, and the bathrooms.

YEAR 402: The Creatures of Ashur.

While Kay struggled to survive within The Seven Legendaries' fortress, an inhabitant of Ashur discovered one of the Orbs of Power. The city's army used the Orb in an attempt to create a powerful weapon capable of defeating Kanlong. Instead, they accidentally opened an interdimensional portal, linking Ashur to an unknown world. From beyond the portal emerged creatures of immense power and unmatched ferocity. However, because these beings possessed a strong connection to Aura, the Aura users of Ashur developed a technique that allowed them to control the creatures' minds. They soon turned them into living weapons, capable of slaughtering anyone who stood in their way.

YEAR 405: A New Leader.

By the time Kay turned eighteen, he had already learned how to survive on his own. Over the next five years, he devoted himself to mastering Aura. Although his control was still unrefined, he eventually became capable of wielding it, allowing him to summon the Rite of Succession Scroll and sign the contract. At that moment, he was officially recognized by The Seven Legendaries' Fortress.
With unrestricted access to the fortress, Kay was finally able to enter the private chambers, the control rooms, and the library of The Seven Legendaries, where he studied their martial arts techniques and deepened his understanding of Aura.
Even so, Kay knew he could never defeat Kanlong or his army alone. If there was any hope of ending his reign, The Seven Legendaries had to be reborn. Determined to find worthy successors, he left the fortress and journeyed back to the cities. What he discovered left him in shock.
Having spent years isolated from the outside world, Kay found that nearly every city had fallen under Kanlong's rule. Only a few continued to resist. Targfor remained unconquered thanks to its relentless and fearless warriors, who repeatedly forced Kanlong's army to retreat after inflicting devastating losses. Oju endured through its rapidly advancing technology, constructing increasingly sophisticated weapons and defenses. Ashur, meanwhile, had mastered the creatures that emerged from the interdimensional portal. Their immense power and resilience made it nearly impossible for Kanlong to approach the city. The remaining cities, however, had not been so fortunate and eventually succumbed to his rule. Kay also discovered that countless refugees had fled from the conquered cities to those that still stood.
After traveling for many days, Kay finally reached the surviving cities and began searching for the new members of The Seven Legendaries.
His long journey eventually led him to worthy warriors from Targfor, Oju, and Ashur, all of whom shared the same goal: to join The Seven Legendaries and bring the war to an end.
Following a long period of training within The Seven Legendaries' Fortress and the completion of the Rite of Succession, the third generation of The Seven Legendaries was finally formed.
As the new Seven prepared for war, the surviving cities united to raise an army against Kanlong. What they did not know was that, over the years, Kanlong had discovered two more Orbs of Power. He now possessed three Orbs, wielding their immense energy through a specially crafted suit of armor designed to contain their overwhelming power. He had also learned that, even after the original Seven Legendaries had passed away, the Orbs of Power had continued to accumulate energy over the years. If their power were ever unleashed recklessly, the consequences could be be catastrophic.

YEAR 410: The Final Battle.

The final battle took place in the heart of Yokhan Island, near the city of Ashur. Kanlong sent his army to confront the forces of the rebellion, but Ashur's soldiers caught them by surprise by unleashing the fearsome Creatures of Ashur upon the battlefield. Meanwhile, the warriors of Targfor proved to be extraordinarily powerful. Their physical strength, amplified by their mastery of Aura, devastated Kanlong's forces, causing his empire to collapse at a remarkable pace.
At last, only Kanlong remained. The Seven Legendaries confronted him and, despite the overwhelming power of the Orbs of Power, they managed to defeat him. But Kanlong refused to accept defeat. Casting aside his armor, he drew upon the power of one of the Orbs to amplify his own strength. The price, however, was immense. Kanlong completely lost his sanity, but in return he became so powerful that he overwhelmed The Seven Legendaries with ease.
Those who were still able to fight succeeded in knocking Kanlong's Orbs away, sending them far from the battlefield. Even without them, however, Kanlong remained terrifyingly powerful.
Driven by every emotion he had carried throughout his life—his frustration, fear, hatred, and unwavering determination to put an end to Kanlong—Kay achieved what no one in history ever had. For the first time, Katsai Ten was awakened. He shattered every one of his limits, unleashing a hidden power beyond anything he had ever imagined. Yet, just like Kanlong before him, Kay lost all sense of reason. Only one thought remained within him: defeat his enemy. What followed was a battle unlike any the world had ever witnessed. Two warriors clashed across the land, driven by the single desire to kill one another. As Kay's anger intensified, so did the power of Katsai Ten, and little by little, Kanlong was overwhelmed by Kay's ever-growing strength.
In the end, Kanlong was slain. But after unleashing such overwhelming power, Kay also fell in battle, having exhausted every last drop of his life force.
The entire island mourned Kay's death, honoring the courage and selflessness he had shown in fighting for all of Yokhan Island. To preserve his legacy, the people of Ashur erected a statue in tribute to the legendary Kay.
Kay's closest companion, Shou, succeeded him as the new leader of The Seven Legendaries. However, by unanimous decision, the team chose never to replace Kay. Instead, the third generation of The Seven Legendaries would continue with only six members, forever honoring the memory of the warrior whose sacrifice had saved the island.

ANO 420: A Reconstrução da Ilha Yokhan.

The cities gradually began to rebuild and recover. Thanks to the technological advancements of Oju and the power of the Orbs of Power, reconstruction progressed steadily, allowing the island to rise once more. Ashur chose to keep the monsters under its control but confined them within the lands surrounding the city. To ensure they could never escape, a massive wall was constructed around the area. The city also sealed the interdimensional portal with a powerful barrier, preventing any additional creatures from emerging and stopping anyone from venturing into the other world beyond it. The entire restricted zone remained under the protection of Ashur's Military Police.

YEAR 425: The Great Cities Rebuilt.

Each city was rebuilt and redefined, with every one of them taking on a unique role in the development of Yokhan Island:
Hifei: Known for hosting grand festivals and martial arts tournaments, held to discover new warriors capable of protecting the villages.
Grom: A town renowned for its thriving agriculture, while also offering countless opportunities for skilled labor and manual work.
Dish: A city founded by a great king, famous for its rich magical traditions and the mastery of magic.
Oju: Celebrated for its cutting-edge technology and the development of powerful weapons of war.
Targfor: A land of vast forests and abundant wildlife. Like Grom, it possessed rich natural resources, but it was best known for its fierce barbarian warriors and elite hunters, often hired for large-scale missions.
Leimor: The central city responsible for overseeing and supporting the others. Ruled by a king, it was recognized for its political influence, military strength, and legendary warriors.
Ashur: A dark and imposing city, feared for its powerful monsters and overwhelming firepower. It was also regarded as the greatest stronghold of Aura users.
Following Kanlong's defeat, the seven cities began working together in harmony, ushering in a long era of peace under the protection of The Seven Legendaries.

YEAR 460: The Fourth Generation.

As the members of The Seven Legendaries grew old following the war against Kanlong, they knew their time was drawing to an end. Shou decided it was time to choose a new generation. After the Rite of Succession was completed and the new members had been selected, the fourth generation of The Seven Legendaries was officially formed. They were the youngest generation ever chosen, consisting entirely of teenagers between the ages of 15 and 17. Shou believed that selecting younger successors would give them more years to protect the cities, as well as more time to master new techniques and further develop their powers.

YEAR 545: The Start of the Tournament.

The fourth generation of The Seven Legendaries had a turbulent relationship throughout their years as the island's protectors. They disbanded on several occasions, faced internal conflicts, and often struggled to remain united. Yet, despite everything, they fulfilled their duty. They also became the first generation to undertake missions beyond Yokhan Island, carrying out assignments across the world. Their achievements brought The Seven Legendaries international recognition, while the rewards from these missions provided additional wealth and resources for the island. Even so, they made one thing clear: they would not assume responsibility for protecting the entire world. Their foremost duty would always be the defense of Yokhan Island. Their example, however, inspired other nations to establish their own groups of protectors. Although they continued to accept missions abroad from time to time, their priority never changed. As the years passed and the members reached the end of their lives, Juya, the last surviving member of The Seven Legendaries, made one final decision. In her final days, she organized a grand tournament to select the next generation of The Seven Legendaries.

YEAR 550: The selection of the Seven Legendaries of the Fifth Generation.

The tournament was finally organized and held across Yokhan Island. Each city hosted its own competition, and the winner of every tournament would earn a place among The Seven Legendaries. Once all seven champions had been chosen, they would face one another in a final tournament to determine the team's leader.
Competitors from all over the world also took part, hoping to learn more about Aura and deepen their understanding of its power.
In the end, the seven finalists consisted of three champions from Grom—each having won a different tournament—one champion from Ashur, one champion from Dish, one champion from Oju, and one champion from Targfor.
They faced each other in the final round, and the warrior from Targfor emerged victorious through her bravery, determination, and extraordinary strength, becoming the new leader of The Seven Legendaries.
With the Rite of Succession complete, the fifth generation of The Seven Legendaries was officially formed.

YEAR 590: The Division of the Cities.

The cities prospered for many years. As time passed, each of them chose to become more self-sufficient, creating their own employment opportunities, developing their own industries, manufacturing their own weapons, and managing their own resources. The proposal was accepted by all seven cities. Although Leimor would continue to oversee the island's overall administration, a treaty was signed granting each city greater autonomy. From that year onward, the cities of Yokhan Island became more independent while continuing to work together in peace.

YEAR 630: The Seven Legendaries of the Sixth Generation.

The sixth generation of The Seven Legendaries was selected following the same process established by Juya, with the members being chosen through a grand martial arts tournament.

YEAR 640: Conflict Between Nations.

Leimor and Dish came dangerously close to war. The conflict began when soldiers from Dish crossed into Leimor's territory after its ruler discovered medicinal herbs and valuable minerals that could greatly enhance the city's magical practices. When King Kisun learned of the invasion, he was outraged that Dish had trespassed and exploited his lands. In response, a summit was called, bringing together the leaders of every city.
During the meeting, the ruler of Dish mocked the situation, treating it as little more than a joke, while the other leaders sought a peaceful resolution. King Kisun issued a final warning: if the ruler of Dish entered his territory again without permission, it would mean war. The warning was ignored.
The ruler of Dish once again sent soldiers into the forests of Leimor to investigate a mineral deposit near the city. This time, however, King Kisun was prepared. He ordered the invading soldiers to be killed and retaliated by launching a bomb into Dish, destroying part of the city.
That single act was enough to ignite a war between the two nations.

YEAR 641: The First Great War.

By this time, Mizuki and Kenji had already been born and had trained in martial arts under their parents' guidance. When Mizuki turned 18 and Kenji was 15, the war had already begun. Their parents joined the conflict but were killed during its early stages when Dish unleashed a powerful spell that destroyed a small village where they had been caring for wounded civilians. Their deaths filled Mizuki with rage, prompting him to enlist in the war. Although Kenji desperately wanted to fight alongside him, Mizuki refused to let him participate because of his young age. Yamato had also been born and was 21 years old at the time. However, he did not join the war, as his father forbade him from doing so. Yamato had never received formal combat training, and his father refused to risk losing his son in the conflict.
Instead, Yamato's father answered the call to arms and joined the war on the side of Leimor.

YEAR 642: The Ambush.

Yamato's father was assigned a mission to rescue wounded Leimor soldiers being held at a Dish military outpost. Unbeknownst to him, it was a trap. The entire facility exploded, and Yamato's father did not survive. When the news reached Yamato, he was devastated by his father's death. Overcome with grief, he withdrew from his family and isolated himself from everyone around him.

YEAR 644: Kenji enters the War.

When Kenji turned 18, with Mizuki now 21, he finally joined the war, which was already nearing its end. Together, Mizuki and Kenji became decisive figures on the battlefield. Their mastery of Aura was exceptional, allowing them to defeat countless warriors from Dish. However, Dish had formed an alliance with Oju, acquiring its advanced weaponry to strengthen its military forces. In response, Leimor allied itself with Hifei, further escalating the conflict. At first, The Seven Legendaries sought to resolve the war through diplomacy. But when the ruler of Dish refused every attempt at negotiation, they had no choice but to intervene directly, joining the conflict themselves.

YEAR 645: The end of the First Great War.

The Seven Legendaries defeated and killed the ruler of Dish, bringing the conflict to a turning point. His son immediately succeeded him and ordered the unconditional surrender of both Dish and Oju, and the order was carried out without resistance.
A peace treaty was signed. Under its terms, both Dish and Oju were forbidden from entering Leimor without the permission of King Kisun. They were also required to pay reparations for the damage they had caused to the other cities during the war.
Some time later, Yamato reappeared, a completely changed man. Through relentless martial arts training and exceptional mastery of Aura, he had become a formidable warrior with unique abilities. He enlisted as a soldier in Hifei's army, where he met Kenji, and the two soon became close friends.
As for Mizuki, The Seven Legendaries recognized his extraordinary power and invited him to join their ranks. He accepted their offer.

YEAR 646: Captain Yamato.

Yamato rose through the ranks to become a Captain in the army, leading missions across Yokhan Island as well as in countries around the world. Meanwhile, Kenji became a professional assassin, accepting contracts from whoever offered the highest payment. Despite following different paths, he continued to undertake missions alongside Yamato whenever the opportunity arose.

YEAR 648: Betrayal.

Kenji was hired to assassinate Yamato—by Yamato's own family. He never questioned their motives or asked what Yamato might have done to deserve such a fate. To him, it was simply another contract. Yamato's family staged a fake rescue mission in another country. When Yamato and his team arrived at the base where the civilians were supposedly being held, Kenji and his companions launched their ambush. A fierce battle followed, and in the end, only the two former friends remained standing. Kenji was the stronger of the two, but for a brief moment, he hesitated. That single instant was enough for Yamato to escape.
Yamato eventually made his way back to Hifei, where he uncovered the truth: it was his own family who had hired Kenji and the others to kill him. He never learned why. Yet the betrayal alone was enough to convince him that he could no longer stay. Leaving everything behind, Yamato fled to Ashur. There, he trained relentlessly every day, growing stronger while learning to survive in the darkness and awakening powers he had never imagined possible.

YEAR 650: The Seven Legendaries vs. Yamato.

Years after their last encounter, Yamato returned with a single goal: to find the Orbs of Power, become even stronger, and take revenge on his family. He confronted Kenji once again. This time, however, Yamato had grown so powerful that he defeated him with ease and nearly took his life. Kenji survived only because The Seven Legendaries arrived in time to rescue him.
Realizing that Yamato had become too powerful to defeat by conventional means, The Seven Legendaries resorted to their ultimate technique. Together, they sealed Yamato's body, transforming him into stone. The victory came at a terrible cost. Nearly every member of The Seven Legendaries gave their life to stop Captain Yamato, leaving Mizuki as the sole survivor.
After the battle, Kenji and Mizuki carried Yamato's petrified body to a hidden cave in Ashur, imprisoning him there in complete isolation from the rest of the world, convinced that he would never return.

The story of the seventh generation of the Seven Legendaries begins fifty years after that battle, in the Year 700.
